The Prophecy of the Eagle and the Condor speaks of a time long ago when humanity diverged into two distinct paths:

• The Way of the Eagle: This path represents the mind, materialism, science, and technology. It is embodied by Western culture and the European colonization that brought significant changes and challenges to many parts of the world.
• The Way of the Condor: This path symbolizes emotion, spirit, nature, community, and intuition. It is represented by Indigenous cultures that have preserved their traditions, protected their lands, and maintained a deep connection with the natural world.

According to the prophecy, there was a period, roughly from 1522 to 1992 C.E., marked by conflict and imbalance. The Eagle’s path dominated, leading to colonization, displacement, and significant suffering for those on the Condor’s path. This era brought great wounds to the earth and its people due to an overemphasis on the mind and a neglect of the heart and spirit.

However, the prophecy foretells a time of reconciliation and harmony, beginning in 1992, when the Eagle would recognize its limitations and seek the wisdom of the Condor. This era offers an opportunity for the two paths to reunite, blending the strengths of both mind and heart to create a world characterized by peace, compassion, and unity.
